Community

The desire of the Lighthouse Community Church is to radiate the light and love of Jesus Christ within the wider community. God has blessed us that we might be a blessing to others. Therefore the church’s various community services work hand in hand with the church’s mission mandate to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our community services include:

Food Ministry – a team from the church collects, packages and distributes food to needy families and hampers of non-perishable grocery items are also made available to people in need who call into the church (often referred by various welfare organisations).

Sunday School – this is held every Sunday morning from 10.30am during school term for primary school children. We would welcome you and your children to attend.

Bright n Light Craft morning – this is held from 10am to 12pm every Thursday morning during school terms.

KYB - Know Your Bible – this is held from 10am to 12pm every Wednesday morning during school terms.

Minda Services – a team holds a church service for intellectually-disabled residents of Minda Home once a month on a Tuesday afternoon

Home Groups – these are held in peoples homes and focus on bible study and prayer - they run at various times of the week - please email us if you would like to find a goup.

Alwyndor Services – a team holds a church service for the aged residents of Alwyndor Nursing Home.

Lighthouse Community Church Inc has joined the National Redress Scheme as a member of Baptist Churches of South Australia. The National Redress Scheme provides acknowledgement and support to people who experienced institutional child sexual abuse and was created in response to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. More information about the participation of Baptist Churches of South Australia in the National Redress Scheme is available on the BCSA website.
